Privacy policy
We grill apps about your data, so here's ours: what appcashout.org records, what ad and affiliate cookies do, and how to opt out.
We spend a lot of time asking what money apps do with your data, so here’s the same answer for appcashout.org.
The short version
| What | Collected? | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, email, password | Never asked for (no accounts, sign-ups or comments) | n/a | n/a |
| Server log line per visit | Yes | Blocking abuse, fixing errors | Deleted on a rolling basis |
| Ad cookies | Only if ads run | Choosing which ads you see | Up to the ad company |
| Affiliate cookies | Only after you click a partner link | Crediting the referral | Up to the partner |
The server log
Every visit leaves one line in the server’s log: IP address, browser, the page and a timestamp. That’s it. We use it to stop abuse and fix errors, and it doesn’t stick around.
Ad cookies
If ads run on AppCashout, they come from third parties, including Google.
- Those ad companies, Google one of them, use cookies to decide which ads to show you based on where you’ve been before, here and on other sites.
- Google’s ad cookies let it, and the partners it works with, aim ads at you based on your visits to AppCashout, other websites, or both.
- To opt out of personalized ads from Google, use Google Ads Settings. To opt out of a long list of other ad companies, use aboutads.info.
Google’s own write-up: how Google uses data from partner sites.
Affiliate cookies
If you tap a partner link, that company may set a cookie so it can credit us with the referral. On its site, its privacy policy rules, not ours.
Kids
AppCashout isn’t meant for kids under 13, and no information about children is knowingly collected.
If this changes
Add analytics, a newsletter or anything else that collects data, and this page gets updated to say so. That’s the rule.
